On Thursday, I will read at the Kickoff Event with Jericho Brown, Matt DeBenedicitis, and Jacob Scheier, at Mother at 8 p.m.  There are readings Friday and Saturday nights at 8 p.m. at The Goat Farm Arts Center, as well as lots of other literary events!

On Saturday, I will lead a fiction workshop at The Goat Farm Arts Center at 2 p.m.

New Mexico Tour

In addition to getting to see my adorable niece and nephew in their Halloween costumes and see family and friends, I will be visiting a class at UNM and giving a couple of readings in my home state, New Mexico, this week!

Short-Short Friday

Friday October 18, at 7 p.m., it is time to bust out your short-shorts.

Stories, that is.  INK Book Gathering in Idyllwild, CA is hosting a short-short open mic.  All are welcome to read stories of 500 words or less!  I will be reading from The Kind of Girl, and some of my Idyllwild Arts Academy students will share their work, as well.  Come join us for a night of short-shorts!

Pier Poetry Prom this Saturday

I will be reading this Saturday with several other writers at the Red Hen Poetry Prom–see below from their website.
