Here’s a link to an interview I did with DelSheree Gladden on KSJE Radio’s Write On! Four Corners about the Four Corners Voices anthology, an upcoming event celebrating the anthology, and figuring out what your story is about.
Come celebrate Four Corners Voices, Volume 2 with a reading and insider’s look at the editing and publishing process with fiction editor, Chuck Greaves. This event is part of the Write to Publish series at Quill & Quest Bookstore hosted by DelSheree Gladden.
In addition to Greaves’ editorial talk, readers will share fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction from the anthology.
Copies of the anthology will be available for purchase.
Saturday, March 28, 3:30-5:00 PM Free and open to the public Quill and Quest Bookstore 218 W. Main Street Farmington, NM
I’m excited to be giving a workshop on one of my favorite topics, flash fiction writing!
Stories in a Snapshot: A Flash Fiction Workshop
Come explore the power of the very short. Through discussion of the flash fiction form and close reading of exemplary pieces, we’ll examine how compression, precision, and suggestion can create resonance far beyond the page. Participants will have the opportunity to draft their own flash fiction, experimenting with snapshot-sized moments that linger long after the story ends.
I’ll be reading alongside twelve other writers at the Sunflower Theater in Cortez! This reading will celebrate the work in Four Corners Voices, Volume 2.
Friday, Dec. 19 6:30-8:00 PM Sunflower Theater 8 East Main Street Cortez, CO 81321 Tickets: $12, can be purchased here
I’ll be reading at the Cortez Public Library for the kick-off event for Four Corners Writers, Volume 2! This is an anthology of writers from or with ties to the Four Corners region of the U.S.
I’ll be reading my story “Vaquera,” about a community college baseball mascot and her relationship with her father.
Tuesday, October 7 5:00-6:00 PM Cortez Public Library 202 N. Park Street Cortez, CO 81321

Anyone remember playing MASH as a kid to see what your future held? (Who would you marry? How many kids would you have? Would you live in a mansion, or shack?) My story “Mansion Apartment Shack House,” which features the game MASH, was a finalist in the Hemingway Shorts contest through the Ernest Hemingway Foundation of Oak Park, and will come out this summer in their journal.
